1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of VectorAI's bitmap-to-vector conversion service. This policy is part of our Terms of Service and must be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.

By using VectorAI, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in account suspension, termination, or legal action.

2. Guiding Principles

VectorAI is designed for legitimate, lawful, and ethical use. We expect users to:

  • Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of others
  • Refrain from uploading harmful, illegal, or offensive content
  • Avoid activities that degrade service quality for other users

3. Prohibited Content

You may NOT upload, process, or distribute content that:

3.1 Illegal Content

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Zero tolerance. Immediate reporting to NCMEC and law enforcement.
  • Illegal Pornography: Content depicting illegal sexual acts under US or your local laws
  • Pirated Software/Media: Cracked software installers, pirated movie screenshots, etc.
  • Counterfeit Materials: Logos or images intended for forgery (fake IDs, currency, etc.)
  • Weapons/Explosives Instructions: Detailed schematics for bombs, firearms modifications, etc.
  • Controlled Substances: Instructions for synthesizing illegal drugs

3.2 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Copyrighted Material: Images you do not own or have permission to use
    • Example Violations: Disney characters, Nike logos, celebrity photos (without license)
    • Example Permitted Uses: Public domain images, your own photography, licensed stock images
  • Trademarks: Logos of brands you do not represent (except fair use / parody)
  • Deepfakes/Impersonation: Images created to impersonate real individuals without consent

3.3 Harmful or Offensive Content

  • Hate Speech: Content promoting violence, discrimination, or hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, etc.
  • Violent Content: Graphic depictions of gore, torture, or animal cruelty
  • Harassment: Images intended to doxx, stalk, or intimidate individuals
  • Self-Harm: Content glorifying suicide, eating disorders, or self-injury
  • NSFW/Adult Content: Sexually explicit images (we are not an adult content platform)

3.4 Misleading or Fraudulent Content

  • Misinformation: Images altered to spread false information (e.g., fake news, election fraud)
  • Scam Materials: Phishing graphics, fake invoice templates, fraudulent certificates
  • Impersonation: Government seals, official badges, or credentials you are not authorized to use

3.5 Malicious Content

  • Malware Embedding: Images containing hidden malicious code or exploits
  • Steganography for Illegal Purposes: Hiding illegal data within image files

4. Prohibited Activities

You may NOT engage in activities that:

  • Automated Scraping: Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to abuse the Service
    • Example Violation: Running a script to vectorize 10,000 images per hour
    • Permitted Use: Personal automation within rate limits (10 requests/min Free, 50/min Pro)
  • Credit Manipulation: Exploiting bugs to obtain free credits or bypass payment
  • Account Sharing: Sharing login credentials with multiple people (except authorized team accounts)
  • OAuth Abuse: Using Google Sign-In credentials from accounts you don't own or have permission to use
  • Reselling Service: Offering VectorAI as a white-label service without authorization

4.2 System Interference

  • DDoS Attacks: Overwhelming our servers with excessive requests
  • Penetration Testing: Unauthorized security testing (contact info@vectorai.cc for responsible disclosure)
  • Reverse Engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, or extracting our AI models
  • Bypassing Security: Circumventing authentication, rate limits, or access controls

4.3 Spam and Unsolicited Messages

  • Email Spam: Using our platform to harvest emails or send unsolicited marketing
  • Link Farming: Embedding invisible links in vectorized outputs for SEO manipulation

4.4 Competitive Intelligence

  • Benchmarking Competitors: Using VectorAI solely to test competitor AI models
  • Data Harvesting: Collecting training data for competing AI services

5. Intellectual Property Compliance

5.1 Copyright (DMCA)

**Your Responsibilities:**

  • Ensure you own or have license to upload images
  • Do not vectorize copyrighted artwork without permission
  • Respect Creative Commons licenses (e.g., attribution requirements)

  • Vectorizing logos you own or are authorized to use

  • Incidental appearance in larger compositions

**Prohibited Uses:**

  • Creating counterfeit products (fake Nike shoes, etc.)
  • Impersonating brands without authorization
  • Trademark dilution or tarnishment

5.3 Publicity Rights

Do not upload images of identifiable individuals without their consent, especially for commercial use:

  • **Personal Use:** Vectorizing a friend's photo for a gift (generally acceptable)
  • **Commercial Use:** Vectorizing a celebrity photo to sell t-shirts (violation of publicity rights)

6. Acceptable Commercial Use

6.1 Free Tier Restrictions

The Free Tier is for personal, non-commercial use only.

**Prohibited on Free Tier:**

  • Selling vectorized outputs (prints, merchandise, digital downloads)
  • Using outputs in client work (freelancers, agencies)
  • Incorporating outputs in commercial products

**Permitted on Free Tier:**

  • Personal art projects
  • Educational use (homework, learning design)
  • Portfolio pieces (not for sale)

6.2 Professional Tier License

The Professional Tier includes a full commercial license.

**Permitted on Pro Tier:**

  • Selling products featuring vectorized outputs
  • Client work (design agencies, freelancers)
  • Incorporation in commercial software/apps
  • Unlimited commercial reproduction

**No Attribution Required.**

7. Service Integrity

7.1 Rate Limits

To ensure fair access for all users, we enforce:

VectorAI is an AI tool, not a perfect replacement for manual vectorization.

  • Using outputs as starting points for manual refinement
  • Understanding that complex images may require post-processing

  • Demanding refunds because outputs aren't "pixel-perfect"
  • Abusing support with unrealistic quality complaints

8. Reporting Violations

8.1 How to Report

If you encounter content or behavior violating this AUP:

Because we use Stripe for payments, you may not use VectorAI for businesses prohibited by Stripe's Prohibited Business List, including:

  • Gambling services
  • Cryptocurrency mining equipment
  • Pyramid schemes
  • Weapons/ammunition sales

11.2 Export Control Laws

Do not use VectorAI to create materials for export to sanctioned countries (North Korea, Iran, Syria, etc.) in violation of US export control laws.

12. Indemnification

By using VectorAI, you agree to **indemnify and hold harmless** VectorAI, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or legal fees arising from:

  • Your violation of this AUP
  • Your infringement of third-party rights
  • Your illegal or harmful use of the Service

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP to address new threats or legal requirements. Changes will be effective:
